Journey to Wellness: Erin the LMBT

First of all, THANK YOU for joining me on a journey to wellness through healthful living, self awareness and community networking.

Where to start… The universe has been preparing me for my purpose long before I ever realized I even had a purpose. I began my career in the field of massage and bodywork in 2011 and since then my life and career have been an ever evolving journey. My mission being to create an environment of healing, inner peace and a more bonded community.

Over the years I have taken on many jobs, pursued higher learning and gained many valuable skills. After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from North Carolina A&T State University I found employment in an entry-level management position in the fast food industry. The hours were long and the work was mentally and physically exhausting with little reward making the only motivation the ability to pay bills so I started to explore new career fields and ended up reading into massage therapy. I decided to visit a few massage schools and get familiar with the industry to see if this would be a match for me. After visiting a couple of schools I finally decided on The Living Arts Institute in Winston Salem, where I received my diploma in March 2012, with the idea that I would land my “dream career” at a high end spa or resort (little did I know that was not the right dream for me). After receiving my license, I ended up bouncing around from various spas and salons ranging from small “mom and pops” to big name franchises while running my mobile massage practice when time permitted, but I have an ever nagging need to do more feeling and desire to create my own way of not only helping my clients heal and ease the discomfort of their physical body, but to also help them do their own internal healing.

I have been offering a holistic approach to healing through integrative massage and bodywork therapy mobile throughout the Piedmont Triad area for over 6 years. With the loyalty and support of my clients, family and friends I was able to launch my studio location at Ciao Bella Beauty Bar in downtown Greensboro in February 2018. Integrative Massage and Bodywork & Mobile Massage Services

As a way to encourage outdoor recreation, physical activity and discussion therapy to promote self healing and support #HikeForHealing was launched in May 2017 and has been seeing growing interests with every hike! Hike for Healing

I look forward to continuing to share my journey with you while also serving as a presence in yours. Stay tuned for more to come!
